NRA Course designed to develop Knowledge, Skills and Attatude

Classroom time after obtaining your Phase One Certificate is estimated at 5 Hours.

LEOSA  Course   (Click on this Link)   (ONLY FOUR STUDENTS PER CLASS)

Title 18 U.S.C. § 926C Permits retired law enforcement offices to carry concealed within all 50 states.  Ed Scallon is a 

Massachusetts State Police certified LEOSA instructor. This course is designed to comply with the requirement 515 CMR 6.00 

Retired Officers must attend classroom instructon and then qualify at the range.  No further classroom training is needed, however,

LEOSA Licensees must qualify at the range once a year for their license to be valid

Total First Time Classroom and Range Time 4 Hours

Yearly Re-qualification Range Time Only 1 Hour

Retired Providence Police pistol expert and Certified Range Safety Officer will instruct individual students in the proper methods of 

obtaining the highest scores.  LIVE FIRE RANGE TIME.  Range Times 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM  Wednesdays or  Fridays. Individualized student

instruction. Become competent and  capture the SIX FUNDAMENTS of shooting.

NRA Pistol Instructor Course  (NOT AVAILABLE YET)

This Course is required to teach others to become instructors.  This Course is designed to present the Pistol Instructor with

the essential tools to successfully teach a class of future instructors, including ethics, teaching plans,

NRA Policies and procedures, responsibilities of the instructor, organizing a course, training athletes

with physical disabilities, course outlines and Lessen plans.

Requires NRA Basic Pistol Instructors Credentials

Requires Range Time

Time 2 days 16  Hours



 ON CAMPUS LASER RANGE  = NOW OPEN =    (LASER AMMUNITON SIMULATED LIVE FIRE)

Use your actual firearm, carry gun, duty gun, or rent one of ours. Also you can rent our Air Soft simulator recoil "GLOCK Mark-up" handgun.

Fire at AMY-L targets as if you were qualifying on a police range. Shoot at your own leisure or receive firearms training from one of our 

 NRA instructors. The range is right at the School,  2 STALLS NOW AVAILABLE 14' and 21'.

Like the gun you're looking at - Rent the firearm and buy some ammo - try it out.

Buy it and the rental cost is subtracted from the purchase price

LTC is required to rent the firearm

Ammunition has to be purchased from Commonwealth Firearms and Training, no exception

Range Times are =  THURSDAY, N00N TO 2:00 PM = Weekly

Hearing Protection and Eye Protection is mandatory

Range Safety Officer Certification (RSO) 

​This Course teaches the basic duties of a Ranse Safety Officer Performs

It provides a thorough introduction to:

  • The Role of Range Safety Officrs (RSOs) 
  • Range Standard Operating Procedures
  • Range Safety Briefings
  • Range Inspections and rules
  • Emergency Procedures
